early-childhood-education

Early childhood education is for children between the ages of three to eight years. Most of the early childhood programs have four learning goals for the children. They are: knowledge (consists of facts, concepts, ideas, and vocabulary), skills (small units of action that occur in short period of time), disposition (respond to certain situations), and feelings (emotional states). A successful care giving and early education can show a profound positive impact on a child’s future. Whatever children learn during their early years enables them to prepare for their future.

Not only does early education bring the benefit of interaction, it also lets the child feel loved and have trust in others. If a child is put through early childhood education program their learning needs will be properly met and their early learning empowers them to become more successful in their lives. Therefore, child care centers are a great way to encourage children to learn some basic things and acquire skills.

Research has proven that the early years in childhood is a critical period during which a child’s full potential could be realized and academic, social, and cognitive skills could be brought out to enable them to lead purposeful lives.

Paving way for a just and equitable world:

One of the main objectives of early childhood education is to identify key elements and issues in relation to the families, diversity, communities and society. How an early childhood educator implements different approaches to honor culture and diversity, and to advocate for social justice in an early childhood setting is particularly important. Incorporating the elements of justice and equality in early childhood learning is paramount in this age of increasing economic inequalities, racial bias and social prejudices. Teachers should be able to cultivate the feeling of equality to pave way for a just and equitable world.
